Meet the Maillot Homes Team

Maillot has been crafting custom homes in Calgary and surrounding areas for over 65 years. We not only take pride in the craftsmanship and quality of our homes but also in the delight our customers take in the journey. Here is our team that makes it all happen!

Rob

Maillot Home’s owner and president, Rob Ohlson, has been at the helm of the company for 14 years. He is involved in all aspects of the company, including but not limited to client meetings, onsite visits, and estimating. Rob’s favourite part of the construction process is the initial architectural design phase and seeing creative concepts turn into reality.

When he’s not busy helping clients bring their dream homes to life, Rob is actively involved in the community. He has a love for art and often commissions local artists for artwork. You can often spot him running and biking around the city as he prepares for his next triathlon.

Sarah

Sarah has been the marketing coordinator at Maillot Homes for over two years. Her primary role is marketing Maillot Homes, but she also has her hands in event planning, office administration, and hosting Maillot’s show home open houses. Previous to working at Maillot, she was a holistic nutritional consultant and a contemporary dancer.

Katharine

Katharine is the business manager at Maillot and has been at the company for seven years. She coordinates every project behind the scenes by getting all key documents in order, dealing with permits so work can be completed on time, and ensures budgets are on track, among many other day-to-day activities. She is truly the Jill of all trades in the office. In her free time, Katharine loves hiking, being outdoors, and travelling.

Gaela

Our operations manager, Gaela, has been with us for over 14 years. Gaela works alongside Rob with planning and estimating, and meets with clients, coordinates schedules and trades, and is frequently onsite to ensure projects are running smoothly. She also oversees the design department to ensure that selections and timelines are in sync. Gaela loves spending time in the great outdoors, art, reading, travelling, yoga. She also loves fabric and fabric design.

Jessica

Jessica is Maillot’s interior designer and has been with the company for two years. She is the primary liaison that accompanies clients when picking out their finishes, hardware, lighting, and paint colours. Her job also encompasses many other aspects of home design such as working with trades and creating seamless communication between the Maillot team and the homeowner’s personal designers. When she’s not designing a client’s ideal home, she’s out skiing with her family, baking or doing yoga.

Veronica

Veronica is Maillot’s talented interior design assistant. When you want to see what your future home looks like, she is the one who creates interior renderings to see how everything will look. She also coordinates with tradespeople to ensure the renderings are brought to life. Before coming to Maillot just over one year ago, she was living in her home country of Venezuela working on commercial retail projects and home design.

Jason

Jason is our site supervisor for our southwest builds in communities like Upper Mount Royal, Elbow Park and Britannia. There are plenty of moving parts to home building, and Jason is the one to be on-site to supervise and ensure everything goes to plan. He also facilities the building process to run smoothly by helping trades when needed. He graduated from SAIT’s Architectural Technologist program and has been with the company for almost two years.

Drew

Drew is our site supervisor for our northwest builds in Calgary and for the acreage community Silverhorn in Bearspaw. He came to Maillot at the beginning of August of this year and comes from many years of previous home building experience. Drew loves the quiet country life and lives on his farm with his family.

Dustin

Dustin is a site assistant for northwest builds and just started at Maillot this past summer. He helps keep all projects on track by coordinating onsite work. He graduated from the Architectural Technologist program at SAIT and is also a talented saxophone player.

Jordan

Jordan is the site assistant for our southwest builds. He works to ensure your dream home is built perfectly. He has been at Maillot Homes for six months, and when not at work, he spends time relaxing with his family in Cochrane and preparing for a new baby arriving in early 2020!
